A passionate archaeologist, art historian, and singer-songwriter, Betül (Bay-two-l) can take you to any ancient city, archaeological site, or museum in all of Turkey.
A guide for 14 years, she has the practiced eye for curating an expert look at Turkey’s rich cultural and natural heritage that only comes with time & experience.
Covering the full breadth of Neolithic, Greek, Roman, and Ottoman history, weaving together art, architecture, culture, and cuisine, suffice it to say, there’s nothing that’s out of reach for her.
And if it’s a walk through Istanbul, a walk through Ephesus, or a trip far further back in time to contemplate the implications of Göbekli & Karahan Tepe, you’ll find her a wealth of insight and challenge, able to shed light on just how much we do and don’t know about our past.
When not guiding, she has travelled the world, recorded an album of her own songs which she has performed live, taught at university, and above all:
